  This Course is Designed for a wide range of oil and gas production personnel from senior management to those new to the industry, the courses form an overview into the role of chemistry in oil and gas production, and how additives and chemicals can be applied to combat natural production challenges.


   A comprehensive three-day course covers such subjects as organic and inorganic scale deposition and control; corrosion; crude dehydration; water injection; wax, hydrate and asphaltene production; chemical compatibility flow assurance; and fluids processing. It also demonstrates how process design and chemical applications can be used to improve treatment and recovery.


  This Course provides well-organized theoretical and technical Evaluate chemical product suitability and validates field trial data/spec.


  This training course was originally intended to include a tutorial concerning the general chemistry, synthesis, and properties of oil field chemicals.


Objective

     By the end of this course the participants will learn how to:

               • Acquire practical Knowledge of application and optimization of each chemical.

               • Acquire practical Knowledge development and design of chemical injection plan.

               • Acquire practical Knowledge for controlled use of chemicals.

               • Describe oilfield Chemicals, compositions and properties needed for equipment selection and

                   sizing

               • How to evaluate Chemicals and how to calculated the optimum dosing rates of each.

               • How to recognize and develop solutions to operating problems in oil/water processing facilities

               • Recognize corrosive conditions and monitor corrosion rates

               • Select and apply corrosion inhibitors

               • Predict and treat emulsions

               • Understand causes and control of foaming

               • Predict scale forming conditions

               • Select and apply scale inhibitors

               • Control gas hydrate formation

               • Scavenge low concentrations of H2S

               • Select and apply water clarifiers

               • Select chemicals for use in deep water

               • Select environmentally friendly chemicals

   Senior lab technician / production chemist, Production engineers, facilities engineers, chemists, and technicians involved with production systems from the wellbore through the topside production equipment, transmission pipelines, and storage facilities that are responsible for recognizing and treating problems which might require treatment chemicals.
